Under sections 519.01 to 519.99 of the Ohio Revised Code,
the Millcreek Township Board of Trustees has established a township zoning commission, composed of five members and two alternates who reside in the
township,
and are appointed by the Board of Township Trustees. The Trustees have set each appointment to be a five (5) year term.
Role of the Zoning Commission
The ORC allows Township Trustees to establish and appoint a Zoning Commission in order to implement the power,
purpose and provisions of the zoning powers conferred by the State of Ohio upon a township. Zoning Commission members review,
evaluate and make appropriate recommendations to the Millcreek Board of Township Trustees regarding proposed amendments to the Zoning Resolution or Official
Zoning Map. Members can also initiate zoning amendments, take action on proposed zoning amendments and review site development plans and
send those recommendations to the Trustees.
Role of the Zoning Administrator
The Millcreek Zoning Administrator administers and enforces the township zoning regulations and issues all permits
and acts as the administrator for any matter brought before both the Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. The Zoning Administrator
also conducts and assists in the development of studies, analyzes land use plans and makes recommendations in connection
with planning and growth for the Township.
Zoning Commission Meetings
The Zoning Commission Meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month.
All meetings are held at the Millcreek Township Hall at 10420 Watkins Road, Marysville unless otherwise noted.
All “special” meetings announcements as well as all public hearing announcements will be
posted in the Marysville Journal-Tribune prior to the meeting.
Change to November, 2024 and December 2024 Meetings
Due to conflicting appointments, the Millcreek Township regular meeting schedule for November and December will be amended. The Zoning Commission will meet on the 3rd Thursday in November (11/21/2024) and December (12/19/2024). All meetings will be held in the Millcreek Township Hall at 7:00 pm and are open to the public.
